Holiday Revision Program

Exams are approaching fast! Are you looking for an effective holiday revision group? Join us for an intensive revision course.

During the Easter and the May holidays, in partnership with a physics and maths A-Level specialist, we are offering focused revision courses to help you get ready. Each session lasts half a day over a week, leaving you time to study for your other subjects.

Whether you are aiming for an A or A*, or to improve on lower grades, you'll be placed in a group that caters to your needs. Our focus is to ensure you receive the necessary support to achieve your goals to progress into the course of your choice.

Structure of the Program

Students are placed in small groups of similar levels to ensure they receive the support they need. Course content is reviewed before students progress to exercises of increasing difficulties and chosen for their relevance to the exam they are preparing. Each section finishes with a carefully selected list of exam questions.

GCSE

Classes take the form of 2 hour sessions covering a specific theme such as algebra for level 5/6, Level 8/9 topics leading to A-Level, or problem solving at iGCSE.

The proposed revision program will be publicised shortly but you can already express an interest using the form below. This is also an opportunity to indicate to use what topics you are interested in so that we take it into account as we finalise the schedule.

A-Level

Y13 is always very short yet the content of A2 maths is broad. It is now critical that you focus on exam questions, but this can be hard and frustrating especially if you have not mastered all the difficult techniques from the course, and even harder if you had some challenges left from AS (hypothesis testing come to mind for so many).

In the A-Level revision program, the revision session last 3 hours. During the first half of the session, the techniques and knowledge is reviewed with examples and exercises to make sure you understand them well. The second part of the session is dedicated to exam practice, including some work in timed conditions.

The proposed revision schedule will be publicised shortly but for now, do express your interest using the form below. By sharing specific aspects of the course you are keen to revisit, we will make sure we integrate them in the program.

Transition from GCSE to A-Level

There is a big step between the study of mathematics at GCSE and A-Level - in terms of content as well as pace. Afterall, A-Level exams start in May of Y13, so you only get 1.5 year of study! Those level 8-9 topics that appear at the top end of the GCSE course are taken for granted when you start the A-Level course in Setpember of Y12.

Whether you feel a bit rusty after the long summer, or your maths is on the border-line side to study mahs at A-Level, immersing yourself in a refresher course will help you be in the right mindset and sharpen your knowledge before you embark on your final stage of secondary education.

From AS to A2

If you found that Y12 maths was tough, be prepared for an even harder second year. The techniques you will learn in the 2nd year of A-Level maths are fun… once you have mastered them - they are hard and need excellent mastery of Y12 content.

Whether you feel you need to refresh and deepen your AS knowledge before you start Y13, or you didn’t quite get the grades you wanted at your end of year 12 exams so need to brush up before you restart, this is the place to do so.
